Get One Beautifully Meaningful Way to Celebrate the Holiday!

Temple Beth Emet is partnering with The Best You Can Be Foundation and Dreams for Kids to create the largest celebration of giving. This year we are hosting 100 of the most deserving children and their parents from, Children's Home Society, for a celebration of pure joy and inspirational life lessons. As a community, we are joining groups in over 50 cities in 6 countries to host the largest event for at risk children on our planet. This is the third year our community will be part of the celebration.

The 3rd annual "Holiday for Hope" festivities will be November 22, 2009 at 12:15 at Temple Beth Emet in Cooper City. The event will be an uplifting day of motivational projects, family bonding activities, music, art, food, gifts and pure joy! The life lessons these families receive will continue to inspire them as they leave with empowering CD's, books, and resources from The Best You Can Be Foundation www.bestyoucanbe.org, Joysong Creations and Hay House Publishing.

How can a single day make a difference? According to Debbie Milam, Founder of the Best You Can Be Foundation, the answer is hope. “A needy child can know that others care about them, parents living in despair can be uplifted and together families can learn how to make positive changes in their lives. One person touching the heart of another can be the catalyst for changing a life.  Changing one life can transform a community and one kind deed at a time is what changes the world. The level of kindness this project holds creates a powerful opportunity to not only make a lasting impression in the lives of the families deeply affected by poverty, but it will also make an extraordinary difference in our own lives as well.”

Dreams for Kids Founder, Tom Tuhoy held the first “Holiday for Hope” party in 1989. Today, the event services 1,200 kids from the Chicago area. The party is held in 50 cities, including: Denver, Atlanta, Chicago and Cooper City. Worldwide celebrations are held in South America, Europe and Africa. Each event benefits a worthy children’s charity in their community. Dreams for Kids founder Tuhoy beams as he shares, “Imagine how many kids lives will be impacted because of this day!”
